Eskom: Power alert 2 -2016 inaugural Eskom women’s conference

In celebration of the spirit of Women’s Month and In line with its commitment to create an environment conducive to unleashing women’s full potential, Eskom will be hosting its first-ever three-day women’s conference from 29-31 August 2016. Being held under the theme: my life, my choices, my power, the conference will see some of the most powerful women in South Africa sharing their inspirational life stories with Eskom women and men.

The Minister of Public Enterprises Ms Lynne Brown is scheduled to deliver the keynote address, whilst the First Lady Ms Thobeka Madiba-Zuma, who is also a patron and founder of the TMZ foundation, focusing on raising cancer awareness and other non-communicable diseases, will also be talking to the conference.

Conference attendees will hear uplifting and motivational testimonials and first-hand experiences from a wide variety of the nation’s women. Altogether there are almost 30 inspirational speakers who will be engaging the delegates on a variety of issues pertinent to women.

In true celebratory style, there will be lots of different exhibitors and activities taking place, encompassing all spheres of women's lives, including bikes, cars, and a fashion show. Chairman Dr Ben Ngubane will address delegates on the last day of the conference. The conference takes place at the Eskom Leadership Academy in Midrand.
