Eskom: No load shedding for the first half of the day

Eskom would like to inform the public that there will be no load shedding for the first part of today, 04 May 2015, as there is currently enough electricity generating capacity to meet demand.

In the past seven days (168 hours), Eskom has only had to load shed for 4 hours and 31 minutes.

The power system is stable at present but is expected to be constrained during the evening peak period (5pm – 9pm). Eskom will keep you updated on the state of the power system and advise the public accordingly should the need to load shed in the evening arise.

We would like to thank all electricity users for responding to our message to save.
