EFF: Statement by the Economic Freedom Fighters, economic emancipation movement, notes outcomes of survey on South African young people's preferences in the 2014 General Elections (26/06/2013)

26th June 2013

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) notes the outcomes of a scientific survey done by Pondering Panda, a respectable Consumer Insights Company on the preferences young people will make in the 2014 General Elections. In summary, 35% of the Youth said they will vote for the ANC, 26% said they will vote for Comrade Julius Malema's Party (Economic Freedom Fighters), 14% said they will vote for the Democratic Alliance, 14% said they will not vote, and 6% said they will not vote.

Economic Freedom Fighters is inspired by this scientific research outcome, which reflects the general feeling of South Africans and will consider it in our ongoing consultation to contest the 2014 General elections. An absolute majority of the people we have spoken to in all provinces, and via social networks and email are demanding that Economic Freedom Fighters contest elections in 2014. EFF already has thousands of Volunteers who are willing and ready to campaign for Economic Freedom in the 2014 General Elections. A sizeable number of local independent political formations, community based organizations, non governmental organizations and independent movements have expressed the wish to form part of the EFF and will help in the 2014 General elections. Independent Councillors in the North West, Gauteng and Free State are accepting EFF as their new political home.

EFF calls on many other local political formations, community based organizations, NGOs, independent Councillors, Activists, Churches, Trade Unions, and current members of Political Parties to join in the struggle for economic freedom in our lifetime. These should email economicfreedomstruggle@gmail.com. EFF foresees victory in the immediate future because if 26% of youth approves of the Economic Freedom Fighters even before elections happen, and even before we present all the coherent, consistent and cogent policy alternatives, and even before we expose the unsustainability, directionlessness of the status quo, we have potential of gaining more than 60% of the Youth Vote and SA knows what such entails. This require Fighters on the ground to begin doing work on persuading our people on the need for CHANGE. Fighters need to organize themselves into units and cells and start spreading the word that CHANGE is coming.

The question we are still asking is WHAT IS TO BE DONE?
