EFF: EFF sends its revolutionary condolences on the people of Somalia

The EFF sends its revolutionary condolences to the people of Somalia following the terrorist attack that claimed close to 300 lives. We send our condolences to the families, friends and relatives all who were killed in the largest terrorist attacks Somalia has ever seen since the rise of the Islamic insurgency in the country.

The EFF calls on the South African government to send aid, in particular, medical personnel and resources to help. The capital city, Mogadishu is under devastation, and all the people's of the continent must rise in a united show of solidarity and send all the aid needed.

We bow our heads in prayer that the death toll does not rise even further as work is done to undo the infrastructural damage.

Although there are no Islamic insurgent groups that have claimed this attack, we join in the condemnation of terrorism. There is absolutely nothing revolutionary about terrorism which targets and always results in deaths of innocent and unarmed people. All revolutions have to pass the ethical tests of respecting the right to life of all innocent peoples of the world.

May the souls of all who died rest in perfect peace.
