In an effort to deliver integrated services for the people of the Eastern Cape, Provincial Department of Human Settlements will host a two day Human Settlements Sectoral symposium aimed at fostering delivery of integrated government services.

The purpose of the symposium is to share vision and common understanding of what integration seeks to achieve in the context of the Eastern Cape communities by looking at Practical tools and mechanisms to facilitate integration that will lead to sustainable neughbourhoods, cities and villages.

Eastern Cape is one of the provinces most ridden by service delivery protests. It is the Province with the second number of recorded service delivery protests in the country. The department is mandated by government to deliver integrated human settlements with social and economic amenities available.

The symposium seeks to also identify areas for integration during 2015/16 financial year and will be held as follows:
