Deputy Minister of Small Business Development, Ms Elizabeth Thabethe, will host the Youth Business EXPO on Tuesday, 28th of March 2017 in Polokwane, Limpopo. It will be held in partnership with Polokwane Local Municipality.

The EXPO will focus on empowering youth co-operatives, SMMEs and aspiring youth entrepreneurs by, among other things, creating awareness about products and services that are offered by the department and its agencies.

The department seeks to encourage and empower rural and township youth to establish small businesses and cooperatives.  The department believes that limited knowledge on enterprise development among young people, especially in rural and township areas undermines their capacity to participate fully in the economy of their country.
