DEPUTY MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS TO ADDRESS THE 13th ANNUAL AIR QUALITY GOVERNANCE LEKGOTLA IN KIMBERLEY

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Affairs Ms Barbara Thomson will address  the 2018 Annual Air Quality Governance Lekgotla in Kimberley on Monday 1 October 2018.
 
The gathering, which will conclude on Wednesday 3 October 2018, has proven to be successful each year since 2005. The theme for this year is “Gearing up for air quality management towards 2020.”
 
The 2018 Air Quality Governance Lekgotla will focus on amongst others, ambient air quality management in the country, emission management which include atmospheric emission management.
 
Government officials from national, provincial and local departments will come together to discuss progress made with regards to the implementation of the National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act (Act No. 39 of 2004) (AQA). The Governance Lekgotla is also a platform for stakeholders to address the various challenges faced in the sector.
