Deputy Minister of Communications and Northern Cape MEC for Education to handover the Vodacom-sponsored Kimberley Teacher Centre

On Tuesday, 23 April 2014 the Deputy Minister of Communications, Ms Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams and Northern Cape MEC for Education, Ms GrizeldaCjiekella-Letsholo will officially handover the Vodacom-sponsored Kimberley Teacher Centre. The Centre has been renovated and equipped by Vodacom with 30 laptops, printer, interactive whiteboard solution and internet connectivity.

The purpose of the teacher centre is to provide training to teachers to integrate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into the classroom and provide requisite ICT skills to the greater community. The centre in Kimberley is one of the 40 deployed by across the country by Vodacom in partnership with government.

You are therefore invited to witness this milestone event which will be attended by an estimated 400 teachers, government officials, business sector and learners from selected schools within the Francis Baard Municipality.
