Deputy Minister Fatima Chohan hosts Africa Day luncheon for national order recipient

The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Fatima Chohan, will on, Wednesday, 25 May 2016, host a an Africa Day luncheon in honour of Ms Amy Thornton in Athlone, Cape Town.

The event seeks to celebrate the bestowing, on Ms Thornton, of the Order of Luthuli, which recognises South African citizens who have contributed to the struggle for democracy, nation-building, building democracy and human rights, justice and peace as well as for the resolution of conflict.

Ms Thornton will be celebrated for her excellent contribution and unflinching commitment to the struggle for liberation and equality for all South Africans.
