And, former Wits student leader back in court

DA leader Mmusi Maimane will today lay criminal charges against President Jacob Zuma for refusing to answer questions about the “State of Capture” report.

In parliamentary replies released yesterday, Zuma gave a standard answer to 10 different questions from opposition MPs regarding his relationship with the Gupta family, Maimane said.

Zuma said the questions formed part of the subject matter of Madonsela's report into state capture and he was still studying its contents.

Parliament’s ad hoc committee set up to look into the SABC board will meet for the first time today to discuss if it is still fit to do its job.

Multiple resignations had left the board with just three remaining members. It needed nine to form a quorum.

Earlier this month however, Communications Minister Faith Muthambi told Parliament that the SABC board was functional and could take decisions with only three members.

University of Witwatersrand former SRC leader and #FeesMustFall movement activist Mcebo Dlamini is expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court today.

The 32-year-old was arrested last month and charged with assault, malicious damage to property and theft.

Dlamini, was granted bail of R2 000 on Wednesday.
