Motion of no confidence in Zuma to be debated

Ramaphosa says Fezeka should be remembered

And, DA to push for axing of NPA boss

A motion of no confidence against President Jacob Zuma is expected to be debated in the National Assembly today.

This is after the DA wrote to parliamentary Speaker Baleka Mbete requesting that the motion be debated.

The party has called on the ANC to respond to the calls from South Africans for Zuma to be removed from office.

Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa says people living with HIV/Aids, like Fezeka "Khwezi" Kuzwayo did, should be remembered by the country.

Ramaphosa was answering questions in the National Council of Provinces yesterday. He announced that a trial of a new HIV/Aids drug would soon get underway.

He said the South African National Aids Council will also meet on Friday to discuss problems facing young people like Kuzwayo, including the issue of stigma.

The DA plans to use all means available to it in Parliament to get rid of National Prosecuting Authority  head Shaun Abrahams.

DA MP Glynnis Breytenbach yesterday said it was clear that Abrahams was highly questionable and not fit for office.

The DA had already written to President Jacob Zuma to request that he suspend Abrahams, Breytenbach said.
