It is not President Jacob Zuma's responsibility to create jobs, ANC MP Boingotlo Nthebe told the National Council of Provinces yesterday.
He said Zuma as the head of government drove policy, to create an environment for the private sector to implement it.
Nthebe was responding to DA MP Willem Faber's question on whether Zuma's role in the economy's downgrade to junk status had had a detrimental effect on workers.

National Foundations Dialogue Initiative chairperson Nomhle Canca said amongst the threats to be discussed was the prevailing mood of despair and foreboding in society; the diminishing of confidence and erosion of trust, poverty; unemployment; a divided nation; a stagnant economy and growing disparity between the affluent and the poor.
