Malema says EFF will be victorious in Constitutional Court.

The EFF will be victorious in the Constitutional Court when judgment is handed down today, the party's leader, Julius Malema, said after receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from Unisa.

The Constitutional Court will hand down judgment in the Nkandla matter at 10am today.

The matter relates to non-security upgrades – paid for by the taxpayer – made to President Jacob Zuma's private home in Nkandla, KwaZulu-Natal.

The EFF and DA took Zuma and Speaker Baleka Mbete to court after they failed to adhere to the remedial actions resulting from Public Protector Thuli Madonsela’s investigation.

 

Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe would only stand for re-election in 2018 if he was in good enough health, the official Herald newspaper reported yesterday.

Mugabe told reporters in Japan that only God knows what would happen in two years and added that if he was fit enough to contest he would.

The 92-year-old's health was a constant source of speculation in and outside Zimbabwe.

Many people believed his frequent trips abroad included health check stop-offs in Singapore.

 

Retired judge and Chancellor of the University of South Africa, Bernard Ngoepe, said the country needed more educated leaders to take it forward.

Ngoepe made the remarks when he was closing the graduation ceremony where EFF leader, Julius Malema, received his Bachelor of Arts degree.

In his speech, Ngoepe said he was told how EFF leaders were furthering their studies.

He said knowledgeable leaders were needed to lead the millions of people.
