DA to visit social grant pay-point in Temba, Hammanskraal tomorrow

6th December 2017

Tomorrow, 7 December 2017, the DA Shadow Minister of Social Development, Bridget Masango MP, DA Gauteng Spokesperson on Social Development, Justus de Goede MPL, and local DA councillor, Herminah Monanyane, will be visiting the SASSA Service Office in Temba, Hammanskraal.

The DA will visit the social grants pay-point to investigate the working conditions of staff members, allegations of beneficiaries bribing security guards to jump queues, quality of services provided to beneficiaries, and how officials deal with the ongoing illegal deductions.

Rural communities are often disproportionately affected by poverty, and their struggles tend to be overlooked and forgotten by Social Development Minister, Bathabile Dlamini and the rest of the ANC government.

The DA will, therefore, visit Temba in Hammanskraal to engage with our people in order to find meaningful solutions to their plight.

The oversight will take place as follows:

Date: Thursday, 7 December 2017

Time: 9:00 AM

Venue: SASSA Service Office,

Address: SASSA TEMBA, Temba Rural, Temba, 0407, South Africa (Hammanskraal)

GPS Coordinates: -25.399478, 28.266047
