DA to present priorities for Parliament’s Third Term – Confronting State Capture

31st July 2017

Tomorrow, 1 August 2017, the DA’s Chief Whip, John Steenhuisen MP, and his deputy, Mike Waters MP, will brief the media on the DA’s priorities for Parliament’s Third Term, which commences today. The briefing will be chaired by the DA’s new Executive Director of Communications, Siviwe Gwarube.

The briefing will deal, inter alia, with the upcoming Motion of No Confidence in President Jacob Zuma, as well as Parliament’s probe into State Capture and the #GuptaLeaks revelations.

Following the Second Term’s preoccupation with the Budget and the subsequent recess, Parliament can now focus squarely on confronting State Capture. The briefing will detail how the DA will approach the task at hand.

Members of the media are invited as follows:

Date: Tuesday, 1 August 2017

Time: 12:00

Venue: M24, First Floor, Marks Building, Parliament
