The Democratic Alliance wishes Bafana Bafana well for the 2015 African Cup of Nations tournament as the National Team enters their opening match of the tournament tomorrow evening.

It will be no easy feat to face up to Africa's number one ranked team, Algeria, in the first game but we trust that the country's support will spur them to victory in that game, and in all others.

The DA calls on all South Africans to wear their Bafana jerseys, every Friday, in support of the national team.

Let the spirit of support for Bafana Bafana rise throughout South Africa.

We hope that with a successful tournament Bafana may lead South Africa to the apex of African football glory as they did in 1996, the last time Bafana Bafana won the continental tournament.
