The Democratic Alliance in the North West sends its heartfelt condolences to the families of the four patients who were killed while the ambulance they were being transported in was involved in a crash in Coligny.

The driver, a woman and two minors sadly died on the scene while they were being transported to Chris Baragwanath Hospital in Johannesburg.

The DA wishes survivors of the accident a speedy recovery and sends our heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased.

We call on Health MEC, Dr Mgome Masike, to launch an investigation to determine the cause of the accident and to brief the provincial legislature and what is going to be done to mitigate these sorts of accidents in future.
