The Democratic Alliance in North West congratulates Chief Obakeng Mothibi on his appointment as Chief of the Ga-Mothibi Tribal clan.

Chief Mothibi’s inauguration took place at Sekhing Village in Taung over the weekend.

The DA supports the role of traditional leaders. In line with Chapter 12 of the Constitution of South Africa, we believe that traditional leaders have an important role to play in promoting nation building, facilitating social cohesion and sustaining peace amongst South Africans.
