DA Leader Maimane to address crisis at South African Airways

27th September 2017

Tomorrow, Thursday 28 September, DA Leader, Mmusi Maimane MP, and DA Shadow Deputy Minister of Finance, Alf Lees MP, will address the media on the crisis at South African Airways (SAA).

With a staggering R6.8 billion in SAA loans due in a mere three days, and the balance of lenders having reportedly indicated their reluctance to extend their loans particularly if SAA Board Chair, Dudu Myeni, remains at the helm - it is inexplicable that National Treasury have still not clarified how the beleaguered airline will meet these funding requirements.

The DA will set out its position in this regard, and what actions the party will take to stop the rot at SAA, and hold those responsible for the current crisis accountable.

The media briefing will take place as follows:

Date: Thursday, 28 September 2017

Time: 10:30

Venue: Ground Floor, Holiday Inn, Rosebank

Address: 187 Oxford Rd, Rosebank, Johannesburg,
