DA delivers over 3 000 title deeds in Tshwane

In just 18 months in office, the Democratic Alliance- (DA-) led City of Tshwane has delivered more than 3 000 title deeds to residents, against a target of 6 000 title deeds that the City aims to issue in the 2017/18 financial year.

The DA said in a statement on Tuesday that since the party took office it has set aside more than R40-million to upgrade 133 informal settlements to ensure that residents live a life of dignity. Sixty-four of these informal settlements in the city have been provided with rudimentary sanitation services.

“A new beginning is taking shape and the DA-led administration is working hard to improve the lives of people in Tshwane,” said the DA.

The City has cut down on corruption and will now spent the money on poor people, said the DA.

“Housing delivery is a priority for the Mayor Solly Msimanga. Nine-hundred new houses have been completed and have been allocated to beneficiaries in Refilwe Manor, Fort West, Mamelodi, Zithobeni, Kudube and Olievenhoutbosch. 471 residents also were moved from the dolomitic Brazzaville to serviced stands in Atteridgeville Extension 19,” said the DA.
