The DA would like to wish all people of the Muslim faith a happy and safe Eid al-Adha – which is known globally as the Feast of the Sacrifice. It is the second of two Muslim holidays commemorated annually and Eid al-Adha is considered the holier of the two.

May this be a joyous day for all our Muslim brothers and sisters.

Eid al-Adha marks the end of Hajj for the millions of people who travel long distances to Mecca every year and pray in solidarity with the world for peace and prosperity.

In this time of celebration, we acknowledge and appreciate the significant contribution that the Muslim community makes to our diverse society. Indeed we are better together as South Africans unite in our quest to bring about a new beginning for our nation.
