CSIR Science Day

The week of 4-9 August 2014 has been earmarked as the National Science Week by the Department of Science and Technology (DST). On Tuesday, 5 August 2014, the CSIR will open its laboratories to about 250 learners as part of this initiative.

The CSIR Science Day is part of the National Science Week and it is intended to expose educators and learners to science-based careers and other activities occurring at the CSIR.  The National Science Week is an initiative of DST and it is a countrywide celebration of science involving various stakeholders and role players conducting science-based activities.

The details of the CSIR Science Day are as follow:
Date: Tuesday, 05 August 2014
Time: Journalists are welcomed any time between 09:00 and 13:00
Venue: CSIR Main Campus, Pretoria (Building 22).
