The Communist Party of Swaziland’s winter school will be held the weekend of 30-31 July, in Nhlazatshe, Mpumalanga Province, RSA, and this year will involve participants from the broad progressive movement in Swaziland and from the ANC-led Alliance in South Africa.

As always, our aim is to provide a platform for learning and discussion with the focus on the current situation in Swaziland and its various shifts within its overall state of protracted crisis.

The school will consider three basic themes, contained in our 5-year programme:

Our aim over the two-days of the winter school is to enable our cadres to work out basic approaches to applying the above three themes in practice, and in a realistic manner in line with our current capabilities.

We will orient this towards ways to expose the indefensible position of the absolute monarchy (autocracy) in its mafia-like rule of our country; expose the economic unsustainability of the autocracy, which leads it to seek ever more desperate ways of keeping itself afloat financially; expose the farce of Mswati’s chairing of SADC and the need for that organization to take a firm stand against the tyranny of the Mswati regime.

These issues will be looked at in terms of what can be done in simple, straightforward ways now and in the coming months.
