COSATU will be watching the cricket situation very carefully and will be forming its own organisation to represent cricketers’ interests. The CSA is in any event overcharging the cricketers for a service that is not fair or equitable. COSATU does however support the right to fair labour practices for all cricketers and ask that they be timeously notified of developments.

Just because one ex South African has made a high score for New Zealand does not mean that all the SA White players can walk into international teams, so CSA must stop its racist attitude that undermines the interest of black players.
