As a precaution, due to public safety considerations, the small Clovelly Cable Bridge across the Silvermine Wetlands area has been closed until further notice. 

The City will investigate the structural integrity of the bridge and assess it for potential repairs. 

The main function of the bridge is to carry high- and medium voltage cables into the area and particularly from Clovelly to Sun Valley.

Members of the public are advised not to use this bridge. 

This does not affect electricity supply. 

The duration of the closure could be a few months as structural assessments need to be done, following possible repairs. 

The City apologises for any inconvenience.
