The Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa), Mr Themba Godi, will tomorrow brief the media on the developments that took place when Parliament was in recess and which the Committee will focus on as its programme of action for the third term.

The developments will include the response of the Chief Justice on the request of the Committee on further engagement with the Chief Justice on the implications of the Judgment on the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa), hearings on the National Treasury on the problems with the Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) , hearings on South African Airways and SA Express and follow-up hearing on the Department of Water Affairs on the Irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure in their annual report and financial statement of the 2016/17 financial year.
