BWASA: Statement by Businesswomen’s Association of South Africa, on president's resignation (01/09/2014)

Businesswomen’s Association of South Africa (BWASA) announced the resignation of its President, Liepollo Lebohang Pheko. Her resignation was effective immediately and had already been announced internally.   Pheko has been a part of the leadership for nearly five years and president for 16 months. Pheko is going to continue with her various professional and business interests.

BWASA, which is the country’s leading women’s business association , is celebrating its 35th anniversary since inception and recently announced the Businesswoman of the Year Awards winners in the government and corporate categories. “Over the past months, we have achieved various  milestones ensuring that the organisation continues to grow its membership and meet  its objectives ” Adds Pheko. 
BWASA will announce in due course, its executive structure following Pheko’s resignation.
