Bowman Gilfillan Chairman, Robert Legh, commented: “The Bowman Gilfillan Africa Group, which now has over 400 lawyers in offices across five countries on the African continent, has enjoyed strong growth over recent years. The market for legal services has changed significantly in that time, and we need to do things differently in order to remain the first choice for our clients’ most important and complex matters. The Managing Partner of our firm has a key role to play in achieving our vision to be the pre-eminent law firm in Africa. Our partners have endorsed Alan to fulfil this role, and we wish him well in his new position.”
