| The Applicant, which is a private landowner, seeks the eviction ot those occupying its property. It launched proceedings in May 2006 alter furnishing two earlier notices to vacate. The occupants claim protection from eviction under the Prevention of Illegal Eviction from Unlawful Occupation of Land Act 19 of 1998 ["PIE"] until such time as the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality ("the City") has provided them with adequate temporary accommodation. |
