Morne van der Merwe, Managing Partner of Baker McKenzie in Johannesburg, notes, “These rankings are proof that our global strategy to be the “New Lawyers” is working. New lawyers are those who collaborate remarkably well across borders, markets and industries, take the time to understand clients and the industries in which they operate, and who embrace new ideas, emerging technologies and innovation to give clients confidence in uncertain times. Our relationship with our clients is the most important part of the work we do, and these rankings serve as an endorsement from our clients that we are getting this right.”
