Auditor-General Kimi Makwetu releases 2012/13 municipality audit results

You are invited to a briefing where South Africa’s Auditor-General (AG), Kimi Makwetu, will release the audit results of the country’s municipalities for the financial year 2012/13.  The AG will be joined by, amongst others, Ministers Pravin Gordhan (Cooperative Governance & Traditional Affairs) and Collins Chabane (Public Service and Administration) and parliamentarians who will share their insights on how they intend implementing the AG’s recommendations towards wholesale good governance in the public sector.

The media can obtain a copy of the report at 10:30 for pre-briefing insight, and the Deputy Auditor-General and other AGSA officials will be present to answer any technical questions relating to it before the main briefing starts at 11:00)

They will all take questions.
