ATM: ATM Candidate List Statement

The African Transformation Movement (ATM) is proud to announce that it has successfully registered for the upcoming 2019 IEC General and Provincial Elections to be held on the 8th of May. We would like to thank the diligent servants of the Peace Movement who have made this possible. ATM is a self-funded party; and supported by the African Independent Churches, the Institute of Traditional Leadership and ordinary citizens. We can safely say we are registered for the General Assembly and the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) ballots.

The goal is to Put South Africa First in all our actions; with the people of the land, Africa and the rest of the world. This we can only achieve if we are in power. We need to protect our democracy by all means. Only the diverse representation of views in the house of leadership will achieve that. This is why each and every vote counts. We urge the people of South Africa to go in numbers and vote to secure our hard fought democracy. The time for our people to reclaim their power has come.

When asked about the strength of the party going to this year’s elections; President Vuyolwethu Zungula, said the following - “We are very confident with the servants deployed to lead the Peace Movement to parliament. Our greatest advantage is that our leaders are from the communities we are going to lead. We share and understand the pains of our people. Let’s continue with our election campaign.”

South Africa needs change; it needs renewal of political leadership and an updated socio-economic development plan. Our economy is bleeding jobs, corruption and brutal killings continue unchecked. This and many other social issues facing our people need to be addressed with immediate effect. ATM is ready to deliver on its Manifesto.
