Arts and Culture hosts master class, 28 Nov

Arts and Culture invites members of the media to a Master Class that will be conducted by Dr Don Mattera and Mr Babsy Mlangeni on ‘’The Power of the Spoken Word: Poetry and the Artistic Journey of Performance’’ on Saturday, 28 November 2015 at Funda Community College in Soweto.

The vision of the Living Legends Legacy Programme is to promote arts and culture through development of mentorship incubator programmes that allow transfer of skills, knowledge and experience to youth.

The Master Class, taking place this Saturday is the second leg of the Living Legends Legacy Programme which was launched in August 2015 by the Department of Arts and Culture to honour the living legends for their contribution in the arts, culture and heritage sector. The Master Classes will document their contribution and provide opportunities for interaction while imparting skills to younger generations of artists.
