ANCYL: Statement by the African National Congress Youth League, on Easter Weekend safety and caution (17/04/2014)

The ANC Youth League reminds its constituency, the young people of South Africa, to exercise maximum caution and care when driving to various destinations for Easter Weekend church services and other social activities that may be necessitated by the long-weekend.

We urge each road-user to be sure of the vehicle’s road worthiness and tyres’ pressure level. As the ANC Youth League, we expect less fatalities as we have observed a very-much informative safety campaign by the National Department of Transport and itsprovincial counter-parts. We also have faith in the people of South Africa to be law-abiding citizens who will not allow any loss of life in their hands.

As young people, we will be part of the various church services taking place over the long-weekend. We wish all Christians all the best at this time of remembering the passing-on of the Lord Jesus Christ. We know that all responsible religious men and womenwill pray for our country’s coming elections to be peaceful and a success on May 07, 2014.
