The African National Congress has held numerous meetings with Comrade Jacky Selebi`s family regarding preparations for the funeral. It was agreed with the family that the African National Congress will be allowed to bury Comrade Jacky Selebi who has been for most of his life at the centre of the organisation`s leadership. Based on this decision the ANC will bear all costs related to his memorial service and funeral. A Committee representing the family and the organization has been established to manage all processes and funeral logistics. This Committee led by the Deputy Secretary General of the ANC Comrade Jessie Duarte, has been meeting on a daily basis and has agreed on the following:

Memorial Service

A memorial service in honour of Comrade Jacky Selebi will be held as follows;

Date: 29 January 2015
Time: 17h00
Venue: Tshwane Events Centre (Pretoria Showgrounds)

Funeral Service

The Committee has agreed on the funeral service arrangements as follows:

Date: 31 January 2015
Time: 08:00
Venue: NG Church, Moreleta Park, Corner Garsfontein & De Ville Bois Drive, Pretoria

ANC marshals and Tshwane Metro Police will be assisting the public and media to access both services with ease.
