The ruling African National Congress (ANC) on Wednesday nominated two women to be premiers in Mpumalanga and the Free State.
ANC secretary general Ace Magashule announced that the party had nominated Refilwe Mtshweni as Premier for Mpumalanga and Sisi Ntobela for Free State.
They would replace David Mabuza and Magashule respectively. Mabuza was last month appointed deputy president while Magashule is now in the full-time employee of the ANC at its Johannesburg headquarters.
