The Officials of the African National Congress (ANC) have today, 13 August 2018, met with veterans and stalwarts of our movement. This engagement is part of ongoing discussions within the organisation to realize our stated commitment to renewal and promoting unity.

The Officials have welcomed the commitment by the veterans to fully participate in the structures of the ANC. The veterans and stalwarts have also committed themselves to place their energies and experience at the disposal of the ANC and South Africa, at large, to work to bring about a significant increase in voter participatation in the upcoming general elections.

The African National Congress will continue to engage with the stalwarts of the movement as part of our work of organisational renewal as they remain a repository of revolutionary values to which the ANC will always aspire.
