An unlikely and ethereal partnership – Adams & Adams & Design Indaba 2013

20th February 2013

In today’s world it could be said that there is a somewhat unlikely and ethereal partnership between a law firm and the world of creativity.

“Not in the world of law firm Adams & Adams - where protection and growth of the creative is a given - where the law firm has worked to protect the work of creatives the world over for over a century,” says Mariette du Plessis, senior partner at the firm.

“As the official attorneys and an associate sponsor of Design Indaba, we will continue our immersion in the unique world of all things creative.  During the upcoming Design Indaba Expo, the firm will seek to educate and inform creatives from furniture and jewellery design, to music - and more as to how to go about protecting their creative work – and ultimately their income.  This is an intrinsic part of the world of Adams & Adams.”

As the official law firm for The Loeries, and sponsor of the Young Creatives Category of the Loerie Awards, this year sees Jaco Burger – 2012 Loeries’ Young Creative winner – transplanted into the world of Design Indaba, as he designs the exhibition stand for Adams & Adams. “True talent is translatable across all media.  Last year Jaco designed the firm’s Christmas cards, and this year will see him working his magic on what will be our premier brand presence.  We are confident that he will create another work of art which positions us as the leader, and protector of creative voices in the global arena,” concludes du Plessis.
