Bangladeshi authorities must tackle a disturbing rise in enforced disappearances over the past two years, stop torture, and end their increasing crackdown on freedom of expression. This briefing documents 20 disappearances in Bangladesh since 2012, but the actual number is likely to be much higher. More than 100 former detainees have all reported being tortured or ill-treated in recent years.
