The Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises will, starting from 5 June to 8 June conduct oversight visits to South African Express Airways, Pebble Bed Modular Reactor and Eskom's Medupi, Kusile and Duvha power stations.

State-owned companies (SOCs) which report the Department of Public Enterprises have been identified as key drivers of government's infrastructure programme, through which government intends creating jobs, investing in skills development and beneficiation.

The visit will focus on:

How these SOCs have made impacts on communities through job creation and skills development
Challenges faced by South African Express Airways
Progress of Infrastructure build projects resulting from the construction in the Medupi, Kusile and Duvha power station constructions
