TOURISTS planning on spending their holiday season in KwaZulu-Natal this year are in for a treat.
Lying ahead is an assortment of packed fun that includes a sunny getaway, a display of jet-skis on balmy beaches and an ‘eye in the sky’ plane hovering above to ensure maximum tourist safety.

With the holiday season expected to officially start in a few weeks, KwaZulu-Natal has developed a multi-pronged holiday plan that includes dispatching additional boats and jet-ski patrols as well as the maintenance of shark nets to prevent possible shark attacks on bathers.

Tomorrow, the MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs Mr Sihle Zikalala and the Mayor of eThekwini Municipality Councillor Zandile Gumede will officially unveil the province and city’s festive season plans.

The launch will involve a walkabout along the beachfront, the installation of shark nets and a media briefing at Elangeni Hotel.

A boat and a helicopter will be used to enable photographers and cameramen to capture the installation of nets and the launch of an army of new jet-skis in action.

Members of the media are cordially invited to cover both the walkabout and the media briefing scheduled as follows:
Date   : 15 November 2018
Venue: Elangeni Hotel
Time: 8: 20am

Please RSVP to bmmthembu@gmail.com or mthunzi@gmail.com
