Thank You For Trusting The PAC With Your Vote

On behalf of the PAC I am honored and humbled that some South Africans placed their trust in the PAC.

Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to express immense gratitude to the loyal members and supporters of the PAC who so generously contributed their time, energy, hard earned resources and effort to the PAC campaign, during this very difficult election campaign period. Despite all the man-made obstacles and deliberate pressure exerted against the PAC and our effective campaign time being reduced to just about a month, you stood strong and believed in yourselves, the PAC in general and the relevance of the message of the PAC. Your individual and collective efforts have done us proud as a party.

I am deeply moved by the expression of voter confidence from all the areas where the PAC had fielded candidates. In the name of God, our Ancestors and all those who died fighting for the freedom of Afrika and its people and the reclamation of the dignity of the Afrikan people I most sincerely thank all people, members and non-members alike, who voted for the PAC. In as much as we did not outright win any municipality, our councillors were successfully elected in 5 different provinces and our percentage share of the votes cast has increased since the 2011 elections. This is a clear indication that the message of the PAC is finally getting to resonate with the masses of our people. Regardless of all efforts to stifle the voice of the PAC, there is no power, entity or individual that can stop a message and a Party whose time has come.

Being an effective and relevant party involves listening to constituents, taking heed to their issues, translating their concerns into workable proposals, and building consensus to implement them. The PAC councillors, minority as they may be in the Councils where they will operate, will prioritise the people’s issues and will ensure that in their operations, they do nothing without the involvement and openness of the people who have entrusted them with their votes.

Our beautiful country faces many challenges and the PAC will do its utmost to ensure that the people’s concerns are not lost in the processes of governance. Whatever needs to be said and done, for the benefit of the people, will be said and done, PAC’s loyalty is to the people not any funding external controller of the party.

Not only am I thankful for your support, but also for all the candidates who offered to serve their communities and seek to be avenues by which to bring empowering solutions for public problems. It is not easy to put oneself out there in such a highly politicised public space, so I give credit to those with the initiative and resolve to do so.

I look forward to 2019, where the PAC is set to outperform itself and be even more significant in Parliament, as the legitimate voice of the people of Azania. This is no time to relax, let us work harder for 2019.

Again, I thank you for supporting the PAC and voting for the PAC so that it can have an opportunity to serve. Our councillors will work tirelessly on your behalf to help address challenges, and to secure lasting and meaningful improvements to your quality of life, thus restoring dignity.
