1. Provide feedback and response to SANRAL’s allegations and challenge to OUTA’s Position Paper, related to the high construction costs of the Gauteng Freeway Upgrade. We will give reasons why we stand by our report and clear up the confusion the SANRAL has sought to sow on this report at their media conference.
At this conference, we will also highlight our concerns of SANRAL’s seeming reluctance to tackle the Construction Collusion issue for the GFIP.

2. Secondly, we will make a clear statement on OUTA’s legal position on the e-Toll matter. This we believe will provide clarity on OUTA’s case and that, contrary to SANRAL’s statements, there is no legal precedent stating that e-tolling has been lawfully introduced. We will further explain why we are correct in law, to defend the non-payment of e-tolls and that in so doing, contrary to SANRAL’s statements, we are not promoting lawlessness or being anti-democratic.

OUTA will explain why its behaviour and its support for the notion that the motorists are not liable for the payment of e-tolls, and that it is each individual motorists right to refrain from paying their e-toll bills, which we answer thereto when SANRAL attempts to coerce him/her into paying. At this press conference we will detail the reasons for our defence, which will have to be heard in court, when we defend our members against the civil summonses being issued by SANRAL.
