The National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) has embarked on a nationwide campaign that will see the organisation’s leadership visit all nine provinces in the next few weeks to engage with stakeholders, says Wanda Lubelwana, NHBRC’s national spokesperson.
The NHBRC’s primary mandate is to offer consumers of housing products peace of mind by acting as guarantor and watchdog to uphold the highest standards of construction methods and to ensure that adequate materials are utilized.
Mongezi Mnyani, the Chief Executive of the NHBRC, will lead a team that will traverse the depth and breath of the country to educate NHBRC’s stakeholders on their rights and responsibilities and also to listen to stakeholder concerns as part of building a responsive organisation, says Lubelwana.
Lubelwana says the roadshow is an information sharing and gathering exercise that will form the basis on which the NHBRC can fine-tune service delivery and build stronger ties with its stakeholders across the entire country.
She says the engagement sessions that have been organized will also serve to inform and educate the industry on current and emerging issues.
“We are confident that at the end of this exercise, the NHBRC will have an enhanced grasp of the issues of major concern to all our stakeholders and will respond accordingly.
“Alongside organizational redesign efforts currently underway, we believe that as we continue to streamline operations, the impact of this organizational improvement efforts will have greater influence if our stakeholders are better informed on how we operate and how they can achieve maximum benefit from the NHBRC as they engage with us to perform their day-to-day activities,” says Lubelwana.
The NHBRC team will visit the Gauteng Province on the 6th of November 2014
Time: 09H00
Venue: indaba hotel, Johannesburg
