Each year Design Indaba invites members of the public to decide what constitutes beauty through the Most Beautiful Object In South Africa (MBOISA) award. The MBOISA award encourages a wider definition of beauty - one that encapsulates social significance, economic impact, usability, sustainability and even humour.

This year promises to be quite a challenging year as the 2015 nominees are diverse and very impressive. The designs nominated included exquisite couture, practical and even political objects.

Protection for your most beautiful objects

In the midst of all the hype as nominees, you are urged to consider the intellectual property protection available for your most beautiful and valuable objects. It is important to consider trade mark, copyright and registered design protection for your designs to ensure, that all the time, skill and labour invested in the creation of these designs does not go to waste by allowing copycats to take unfair advantage of your intellectual property.
