The Indaba is a follow-up to the last Black Business Working Group meeting that was held in April, consequently identifying the need for the Indaba.
The big business working group is one of the groups that meet bi-annually with the President and ministers to discuss matters of common interest.
Amongst other issues, the April meeting dealt with the response of Black Business to the President's State of the Nation Address, the Budget Speech and Black Economic Empowerment (BEE).
"It is expected that the Annual Indaba will discuss further progress made on BEE, investment and other pertinent issues regarding the South African economy," said the Presidency in a statement.
The Government delegation will include Ministers Essop Pahad (Presidency), Alec Erwin (Trade & Industry), Phumzile Mlambo-Ncquka (Minerals and Energy), Thoko Didiza (Agriculture & Land Affairs), Jeff Radebe (Public Enterprises), Director General in the Presidency Frank Chikane and CEO of the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) Joel Netshitenzhe.
The Black Business Working Group delegation will include Black Business Council President Patrice Motsepe, Foundation for African Business and Consumer Services President Sam Buthelezi, NAFCOC Executive member Buhle Mthetwa and National African Farmers Union President Peter Rammutla. -BuaNews
