omorrow morning, 28 July 2012, the Democratic Alliance (DA) will officially launch its national Jobs Campaign at the iconic Freedom Park’s Gallery of Leaders in Pretoria. At this launch, the DA’s national leadership will outline our plan for growth and jobs in a changed economy. Speakers will include DA Federal Chairperson Dr Wilmot James MP, DA Parliamentary Leader Lindiwe Mazibuko MP, DA Shadow Minister of Finance Tim Harris MP and Mayor of Cape Town Patricia de Lille.

DA Federal Leader Helen Zille will be giving the keynote address, officially launching the DA’s vision and plan for a changed economy, higher growth and more jobs.

The event will be televised live on SABC 2 from 10:00 to 11:30 tomorrow morning. The E-news channel will cover the event live from 10:00 to 11:30 as well. A number of DA activists and leaders will be live-tweeting the event using the hashtag #workingforjobs.

There will be opportunities for interviews and photographs.

Directions from Johannesburg:
Take the N1 highway North towards the Tshwane city centre. Stay on the N1 highway until it becomes Potgieter Street with the Central Prison/Correctional Services on your left. Look out for the Freedom Park signs. Turn right into Skietpoort Avenue at the second set of traffic lights (after the Shell petrol station and opposite the Central Prison). You will now enter the Salvokop community.

Follow this road, past the stop street and around the corner where it makes a 90° turn to the right and drive straight on Koch street (pass the cross streets) to the main entrance to the Park.

From Tshwane city centre:
Take Schubart Street as though you are leaving Tshwane (Pretoria). Travel past Dequar Road. Turn left into Skietpoort Avenue at the next set of traffic lights (before the Shell petrol station and opposite the Central Prison). You will now enter the Salvokop community. Follow this road, past the stop street and around the corner where it makes a 90° turn to the right and drive straight on Koch street (pass the cross streets) to the main entrance to the Park.
