The IFP in KwaZulu Natal Legislature calls for the Special Investigating
Unit to investigate the former MEC for Finance in KwaZulu Natal, Ina Cronje,
for unauthorised, irregular expenditure incurred by the Treasury during her
tenure.
"Although the MEC is no longer in the Provincial Government, it is
imperative for her to be investigated. She must be held accountable for
activities in her department during her tenure," said IFP Leader in the KZN
Legislature, Mr Blessed Gwala.
"Once the investigation has taken place the results must be made public
regardless of what or who will be exposed," said Mr Blessed Gwala.
"The IFP will keep a watching brief on the situation because we believe that
those who cover up corruption become part of corruption. We will ask
questions. And we will demand answers," added Mr Blessed Gwala.
"Any other person or entity also found to be involved in these activities
must be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,"
