The dodgy SASSA/CPS deal has claimed yet another victim - this time SASSA CEO Mr Thokozani Magwaza.

It is clear that Mr Magwaza has been pushed-out of his position after he spoke-out against Minister Bathabile Dlamini’s manufacturing of the CPS/SASSA crisis, in affidavits to the Constitutional Court.

He also subsequently cancelled Minister Dlamini’s so-called “work-streams” which wasted 47 million rand in taxpayer money and created parallel structures, bypassing the SASSA executive, and reporting to her alone.

Mr Magwaza has since received death threats, apparently from members of the ruling party in KwaZulu Natal, which is a clear indication that he is being punished for exposing the Minister’s questionable practises as head of the Department of Social Development.

It is yet another sad day for South Africa that a loyal, dedicated public servant is pushed-out of Government for exposing wrongdoings and for trying to do the right thing.

All those who have spoken out against the immoral and unlawful contract that Government continues to hold with CPS have now left the Department – Mr Shezi, Mr Dagnor and now Mr Magwaza. All pushed out, for speaking out.

It is clear that with Mr Magwaza’s departure, the take-over of the South African Post Office, from CPS, as the preferred service provider to pay out social grants, is no longer a certainty.
