IFP eThekwini member of the Executive of the eThekwini Municipality, Cllr Mdu
Nkosi, has expressed  his  grave concern regarding the unfair selection of
employment of Female Firefighters  in the municipality after the training that
took place in the past week.

"We as the IFP suspected that some people are fulfilling their own purpose by
using employment seekers when they to carry out their immoral intentions and
playing  with the feelings of these people who had hoped to get a job. We are
very disappointed that the municipality has played with people emotions, said
Cllr Nkosi.

"What happened to the young women who were looking for a job, was deliberately
planned from within and it clearly shows that those who were doing the training
had already selected their own list which fulfilled their own  corrupt purpose
by using these women to go through the training but knowing very well that they
will not allow them to finish by avoiding them to enter at City Hall to write
the training test without giving them a reasonable explanation.  Also the
municipality failed to give them answers,"

continued Cllr Nkosi.

In conclusion as the IFP we demand the Municipal Manager, Mr. Sibusiso Sithole
to conduct an investigation into this matter. We also need answers so that the
image of  Ethekwini municipality  not tarnished by unacceptable conduct of the
individuals involved, concluded," Cllr Nkosi.
